Do You Have Erectile Dysfunction? What Should You Do About It?

Erectile dysfunction is a disease that affects many men worldwide, so if you are suffering from this you definitely are far from being alone.

Erectile dysfunction can range from the very serious in not being to get an erection at all, to more minor cases where the individual cannot maintain their erection. The point here is that there are a wide variety of types of erectile dysfunction out there and varies greatly from individual to individual.

Thankfully there are many types of treatments out there so if you suffer from erectile dysfunction there is hope.

Here are Some Methods Used to Treat Erectile Dysfunction

Taking Supplements in the form of pills

Pills like have been on the market for almost 20 years now and have been shown to be effective when treating erectile dysfunction. Many of these pills work by encouraging the relaxation of the smooth muscle in the penis which enables more blood flow in to the penis, allowing for an erection in those with erectile dysfunction.

These pills mimic the body’s natural chemistry to where it promotes the production of nitric oxide, which is used in the signaling from the brain to these blood vessels instructing them to open up or dilate.

These pills are not only effective, they are generally considered safe as well especially when you compare the side effects of pills to other procedures and techniques that are used to correct erectile dysfunction.

Everyone is well aware of pills like Viagra, but they don’t realize that the drug is now almost 20 years old and in the pharmaceutical business that is considered ancient. Try something more recent but that also has a proven track record as well.

A product like Progentra not only has a proven track record when it comes to reliability and customer satisfaction, but is a much more recently formulated supplement. The techniques that were used in formulating Progentra weren’t available 20 years ago so make sure you are getting the most cutting edge product.

Injections

Another option when it comes to treating erectile dysfunction is to get injections. The injection consists of a synthetic growth hormone called prostaglandin E1 which acts in a similar manner to erectile dysfunction pills.

Some injections are cocktails of ingredients consisting of more than just the synthetic hormone. In these cases they usually include vasodilators and alpha blockers to increase the effectiveness of the injections.

The downside to injections are that they require a prescription from your doctor, and can be expensive.

On top of that in order to get it done you have to go to the doctor first which can be extremely embarrassing. Getting stuck with a needle is no fun either and since you can get the same benefit from taking a pill. Many people are starting to turn away from this option yet it is still effective.

Suppositories

The negative to suppositories versus injections is that because you are not injecting directly in to the bloodstream it takes longer for the body to absorb and thus use this drug.

Another issue with suppositories is that they require at least some time to prepare so when it comes to spontaneity suppositories fall short.

Implants

If you’re the person who can’t get it up at all, an implant along with a supplement is a good cause of action.

The technology of penile implants has really advanced as of late, and is definitely a viable option when it comes to solving erectile dysfunction.

There are two main types of penile implants, you can either have an inflated implant or one that is more permanently fixed bendable rod.

The inflatable version works by pumping up the erectile chambers of the penis via a pump located in the scrotum.

Malleable implants are rods fixed within the shaft of the penis that can be bent and manipulated to whatever shape in whatever direction you want.

Surgery

If you have serious erectile dysfunction and the implants don’t work for you, a last resort is surgery.

Surgery to correct erectile dysfunction is very effective but the downsides are that it is a difficult procedure to schedule because there are so few doctors that do it.

On top of that because it requires a surgeon and that so few perform this procedure, it is very expensive as well.
